This year there is a lot to look forward to, including outdoor concerts, food fests, and kid-friendly celebrations. Vaughan Celebrates Concerts In The Park
We’ve all missed the opportunity to enjoy live music but this summer marks the return of concerts! Take full advantage and get a regular dose of musicianship by planning to attend Vaughan Celebrates Concerts In The Park. This series features six free concerts held on select Wednesdays throughout the summer and performers include Juno-award-nominated singer/songwriter Shawn Hook, as well as tribute bands Night Fever, Abbamania, Simply the Best, Material Girls, and The Blushing Brides. Each performance takes place in a different park so you can experience different parts of the city along with each musical style.
Vaughan Pizza Fest
It shouldn’t be too hard to find friends, family, or even a few co-workers who would be willing to accompany you to a pizza festival this summer, especially when the destination is Vaughan Pizza Fest, North America’s largest celebration of its kind. For a full weekend, enjoy an array of different pizzas, pastas, and desserts; there will be more than a dozen pizzerias participating. You can also enjoy some drinks, live music, and family-friendly entertainment. Since it also happens to be Father’s Day on Sunday, if your dad is a pizza connoisseur, bring him along!
KidZfest At Canada’s Wonderland
Canada’s Wonderland has an already impressive list of happenings and events going on all summer long—and that’s in addition to its already great roster of rides, shows, and the popular 20-acre water park, Splash Works. Still, you’ll want to make a special note of two particular weeks that fall right in the middle of the summer, when KidZfest at Canada’s Wonderland is on. Included with your regular park admission is a range of fun activities your little ones won’t soon forget, such as live entertainment, dance parties, special guest appearances, and more.
Taste Of Bolton
Get in on the ground floor of a brand-new food fest that will be happening just 15 minutes away in downtown Bolton. The first annual Taste of Bolton promises a packed three days full of food tents, food trucks, and live music, all located at the Royal Courtyards. Choose from appetizers, entrees, and desserts; there will even be a cash bar on site. It’s a great opportunity to sample from a variety of local restaurants, food vendors, and shops all in one place, while kicking off what’s certainly shaping up to be an eventful and fun-filled summer.
